Inferno La Cruus 2015

The Platinum - Best in show Medal is only awarded once the wine has passed the gold and then the platinum selection phases and only 6 Italian wines have earned the medal this year.

This is a great satisfaction for us, especially because the score awarded was 97 points, something we have never before achieved.

So here’s some further information about our new Inferno.
The idea for La Cruus came to us 7 years ago when we were searching for the ideal vineyard in the Inferno area, not an easy task when you consider that it’s the most fragmented region of Valtellina, full of small areas of land clinging to the rocks. Then followed the long job of consolidating and settling the earth in preparation for the planting of the new Nebbiolo vines. We have worked very hard to express the purity of our single vine and the result has been astonishing, both for it’s freshness and intense flavour.
